Bringing the Spirit of “We Want Peace For Congo” to Life
Working with Mojelo and Ha Boi Productions on the cover art for We Want Peace For Congo has been a truly meaningful experience. My goal is always to visually translate the spirit of a song, and with this one, the message was clear: pain, resilience, and the urgent need for peace.
For this piece, I chose to overlay the Congo flag over a depiction of a woman carrying a child, surrounded by people fleeing war. The textured brushstrokes give it an emotional depth, almost like a moment frozen in time, allowing the viewer to feel the weight of the crisis. The flag itself symbolizes both the struggle and the hope, its vibrant colors standing strong against the chaos—just like the people it represents.

Mojelo has been an incredible artist to work with, and over different songs and projects, I have had the privilege of helping bring his vision to life through design. We Want Peace For Congo isn’t just a song; it is a call, a demand for change, and I am honored to have contributed to its visual identity.
The song was also featured in the Turf Newspaper article, which highlights the pressing need for peace in Africa, particularly addressing the ongoing crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This coverage has helped amplify the message of the song, shedding light on the struggles faced by the Congolese people and the broader issue of conflict across the continent.
